Another great night of sleep, and this morning when he woke up he just laid there waiting for daddy to get up. Finally, mommy got up and he was great getting up with her. He tried to get daddy to get up with both of them, but daddy refused to get to make him play with mommy. He did great, he let mommy take him potty, get him dressed and play with him. After he was ready then daddy ‘woke up’.
He let mommy feed him breakfast today too. Daddy did not sit down till he was eating and then he was ok sitting by himself and letting mommy fee d him. After half of his food was gone, he started feeding himself. So there we sat, mommy, daddy, and Ethan all eating at the same time.
After breakfast he has been doing great, we are giving him his space and then mommy just pops in to say I love you and give him a kiss or tickle him. He seems to be really enjoying it. There is no doubt that he is a two year old. We now thing that the biggest issue was that we were trying too hard and he was getting overwhelmed. We need to remember that he was not used to having any form of attention from adults at anytime.
